We make every effort to ensure that our Terms and Conditions of Business are as easy to understand as possible. However, if you should have any queries concerning the Conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Pricing and Ordering
Our pricing is clear and upfront, outlining our base prices for each table model and other furniture but also showing you our additional costs for any optional upgrades. When you place your custom order directly through the website the price will adjust according to your custom details and reflect the total due at that time.
You are always welcome to contact us prior to placing your order to confirm your pricing, so please let us know if we can help!
To secure your spot in our production pipeline, full payment is required for your custom furniture at the time of placing your order.
Once you have secured your spot in production with full payment, you have 2 days to make any changes or edits to your order. We can best accommodate these changes if you contact us immediately within 2 days of placing your order — that way we can be sure to have the materials needed to keep you on schedule. Please note that any additional changes made to your order after the 2 day mark may add a slight delay to your schedule.
You have 2 days after your purchase to cancel your order for a full refund. Since each table is made to order we cannot accept cancellations after 2 days, as your custom piece has been scheduled into our production pipeline, labor and materials for your order have been ordered and stocked, and the cost of constructing your custom piece is underway.
All of our tables and furniture are made to order in our shop. Lead times usually range between 4-6 weeks. This represents the time we will take ordering and sorting materials, crafting your custom furniture, and getting ready to ship or pickup. Please note that given the nature of made to order production, lead times may vary depending on current order volume, which makes it very difficult for us to guarantee delivery and pickup dates.
Pickup & Delivery
Free Local Pick Up
If you're in Michigan you can save on shipping and get it sooner! Most of our local customers prefer to pickup their furniture at no cost. Just come on over to our place in Hartland, Michigan with your truck, blankets, straps, and some muscle (real wood furniture is heavy) and we’ll get you taken care of.
We ship our farmhouse tables anywhere in Michigan and the U.S. for a flat rate of $300.
We use a private driver for our deliveries. He will need assistance unloading these pieces into your home once it arrives. This saves on cost and time for you and us! He will call prior to delivery and set up a drop off time and please be flexible with your schedule as he gets closer to arriving. Once the item is in the drivers hands, it is his responsibility. If something is wrong when the shipment arrives, please notify the driver to schedule a return or discussion with us. Please allow 1-3 weeks for your furniture to be delivered.

We make every one of our custom farmhouse tables with a focus on quality and attention to detail. All are handmade with premium American hardwoods that contain saw marks, knots, and other beautiful imperfections. This is what gives our pieces their beautiful and unique rustic character.
Real wood moves with the change of seasons. As time goes by your table top will expand and contract with the change of seasons and humidity. During these changes you will notice seams open up and close and minor gaps. This is not a defect in the material or an issue with the workmanship; it is the result of the natural movement of the wood. This is expected and unavoidable.
These natural characteristics and occurrences only continue to add to the rustic character that makes our real wood furniture get more beautiful with age and use.
All our farmhouse tables will arrive disassembled. Not to worry, we've provided the hardware and simple instructions for you to easily put it back together in minutes!
Great Lakes Farmhouse stands by our product and believe our craftsmanship and materials are superior to mass produced, imported furniture. Therefore, we offer a 3 month warranty on our farmhouse tables after delivery or pickup.
What Is Covered in Our 3 Month Warranty
Your table is made with real solid wood, not from manufactured pressboard you find in all stores. Real wood moves with the seasons and humidity. Our tables are made with the expectation that the wood will move. You will see some seams open and close during the change in seasons. This is expected and unavoidable. However, while it is extremely rare, we want to ensure our customers that any abnormal splitting on the tabletop surface will be repaired or replaced. If we see that any damage is due to our craftsmanship or our material we will repair or replace it free of charge.
What Is Not Covered
We finish your table with the finest materials we can buy. If there is unlikely damage to the surface top coat (scratches, hot dishes, moisture rings) or color damage then we believe this falls outside of our craftsmanship and is not covered under warranty.
If after 3 months you are in need of repair of your table we are happy to attempt at restoring it to its former state and bill you for the repair. If you are outside of Michigan we are happy to help you find a local furniture repair professional who will supply work just as excellent as our team.
At Great Lakes Farmhouse, we want to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. We are building you a beautiful piece of furniture that is intended to create years of lasting memories and conversations! Our tables and furniture are solidly and uniquely made of real wood. By purchasing a Great Lakes Farmhouse table (or any custom piece) you understand our rustic nature, and the inability to create two tables alike.
By making a purchase with Great Lakes Farmhouse, you are agreeing to the detailed specifications as stated on your invoice. It is understood and expected that you fully understand the custom details of your order. If your order is received and does not match the details of your order (as stated on your invoice) we are happy to make the adjustments required to meet the specifics of your order free of charge. If you are unhappy with your order even though it matches the details of your order (as stated on your invoice) there will be an adjustment fee plus any other applicable fees including a pickup and delivery fee, to meet your desired changes.
